Lincoln City Foundation welcomes new Chief Executive Officer Martin Hickerton, as he joins #TeamFoundation.
Martin joins Lincoln City Foundation from The University of Lincoln, where he worked as an Associate Professor and MBA Director and Partnership Development Manager for 4 years. Responsible for forging links both locally and internationally, Martin joins The Foundation with a wealth of knowledge and experience in Lincolnshire and its local need.
Martin’s background comes from working in the Education and Employability sector, having previously worked for Reed and Ingeus, and is excited about building on his passion for the sector at Lincoln City Foundation.

“As I write this, I am sitting in the office at the LNER Stadium and I’m feeling very much like the new boy! I am delighted to join the Lincoln City Foundation as the Chief Executive and cannot wait to help the team deliver even more great work to our partners and the community in which we operate. I was previously based at the university where I managed partnerships and academic programmes (specifically the MBA) but before that, I was involved in social impact work, for example, employability programmes, well-being and education. The fact that the Foundation is involved in all of these areas really attracted me to apply for my role.
The people I now work with are amazing and really care about the community in which we operate and the fact that the Foundation is partnered with Lincoln City Football Club (my boyhood team!) is the icing on the cake.

As a lifelong Lincoln City FC fan, Martin is no stranger to Lincoln City Foundation and Lincoln City Football Club, with his family previously accessing some of our valuable services.
