Lincoln City Foundation's Fighting Fit programme are looking for two new volunteers to aid the team at our sessions based at Yarborough Leisure Centre and Bishop Grosseteste University.
An ideal candidate would possess these attributes:
Lived experience of working or living with cancer.
Relevant health or social care experience.
Person-centred.
Good communication skills.
Efficient time-keeping.
Proactive.
Positive mindset.
Some exercise knowledge (not essential).
When volunteering for Fighting Fit, volunteers will be expected to:
Arrive 30 minutes before the session starts in order to help set up and prepare.
Have a comprehensive knowledge of Fighting Fit and the Foundation's core values. All this information is on our website.
Complete tasks set by supervisor.
Maintain a high degree of professionalism.
Your main tasks as a volunteer for Fighting Fit will be to:
Welcome and engage in conversation with participants upon arrival.
Promote other Foundation activities.
To assist other members of staff in setting up and packing away before and after the sessions.
Volunteers will be fully supported by their line manager in all sessions that they help out at.
