Vacancy: Apprentice youth support worker

Lincoln City Foundation is looking to hire a new apprentice youth support worker (level 3).

Well now is the time, as we have an exciting opportunity for an apprentice youth support worker to join our family at Lincoln City Foundation. If you are just starting out on your career or looking for a change of career this could be the role for you.


Based at the LNER Stadium in Lincoln, and home to Lincoln City FC, you will be joining our Education & Employability team who will support you and help you learn while you earn.

The apprentice youth support worker will support the delivery of the Foundation’s youth programmes to:


  • Support the delivery of programmes within our existing projects to inspire local youth and young adults.

  • Build awareness of our Education & Employability programmes to students across secondary schools, sixth forms, colleges and youth groups through assemblies, group work and recruitment activities.

  • Support the delivery of our Keep Warm strategy, including phone calls, marketing, events and communications with young people and parents.

  • Support the delivery of our NCS programme, including pre-programme engagements, residential timetabling, social action planning & delivery and graduation events.

  • Support the delivery of wider Education & Employability programmes and mentoring projects, building strong & professional relationships.


What is an apprenticeship?


An apprenticeship is a funded programme where an individual learns new skills, knowledge and behaviours in a chosen sector. An apprenticeship will enable you to work and earn a wage whilst developing and gaining new skills as an employee.


Alongside your day-to-day duties, you will complete the Youth Support Worker Level 3 qualification over a period of 12 to 18 months. This is a nationally recognised qualification and you will be supported through this qualification by your line manager and training provider. Lincoln City Foundation will allocate 20% of your weekly contracted hours towards studying for this qualification.
