A current Red Arrows pilot will be visiting the Lincoln ‘Extra Time Hub’ session on Wednesday 29 November to deliver a talk about life as a Red Arrow.
The Red Arrows are The Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team and one of the world's premier aerobatic display teams. Flying distinctive Hawk fast-jets, the team are currently based at RAF Waddington in Lincolnshire and at the start of 2023 had flown almost 5,000 displays in 57 countries.
The talk will begin at 10.30am in the Legends Lounge at the LNER Stadium, with doors open from 10am for refreshments, and is free to attend.
Alice Carter, head of healthier communities at Lincoln City Foundation, said: ‘We are thrilled to have a member of the Red Arrows visit our Lincoln Extra Time Hub session, it’s an exciting opportunity to get an exclusive insight into what it is like to be part of the iconic display team.
"We regularly host talks and workshops as part of our Extra Time Hub programme and this is the latest we are pleased to be able to offer our members and any new attendees.’
Lincoln City Foundation’s Extra Time Hub programme aims to make a positive difference to the lives of retired and semi-retired people offering a range of activities and the chance to meet and spend time with other like-minded people.
Alongside a weekly ‘hub’ session held at the LNER Stadium every Wednesday, the programme also offers a variety of activities for older adults including walking sports, seated chair exercises, and multi-sport sessions.
