PL Kicks X Fight Factory

PL Kicks are heading down to the Fight Factory on the 12th July

At Lincoln City Foundation, we run a completely free sports programme for 8 – 18-year-olds. This programme, Premier League Kicks, is funded by the Premier League and helps us to support young people in Lincoln. Our programme runs from the LNER Stadium every Monday (except bank holidays) from 4:30pm, with FA Level 2 Coaches who have a wealth of experience to help support the sessions and guide the young people where needed.

We are passionate about providing a variety of opportunities to the young people, recently we have had Twisted Tension Realities deliver a fun virtual session with our young people, and we are looking forward to a climbing session in the near future.

We are now happy to announce that on the 12th of July we will be working closely with Lincoln Fight Factory to deliver a boxing session to the PL Kicks Participants.

The session will be delivered at Lincoln Fight Factory, which has over 800 members, a 6,600 square foot training area, professional boxing ring, 30 punch bags and a fully fitted commercial gym, as well as being the home to multiple World and European champion kickboxers. That’s right, we are giving the opportunity for young people to come and train at the same gym some world champions have trained at!

This session will be delivered by Karl, who is an amateur fighter, he has been teaching boxing and kickboxing since 2010. Like us, Karl is determined to help get young people off the streets and into sport.

“Healthy and safe without your parents having to worry about you”

Karl, who grew up in the St Giles area of the city says

“I’m passionate about encouraging young people to put the knives down, put the gloves on, and take up kickboxing and boxing. After the recent events that have surrounded our communities, this has never been more important.”

It’s tough to be a young person in this day and age and we as a Foundation are working hard to reach as many young people as possible and give them opportunities they may not be able to get.

If you know of anyone who is interested in coming along to this session, please visit https://www.lincolncityfoundation.com/pl-kicks

“Get fit, get healthy and learn a new skill”.
