What is Para Football?
Para football, or disability football, has adaptations of association football for players with physical disability. Modifications vary depending on impairment. You can read more about the history and the future of disability football here.
The FA's Para Football Talent Pathway
The FA’s pathway is very much a dual pathway whereby players are encouraged to play wherever they are most challenged, whether that be in mainstream football or disability football. England’s Para Football is designed to run in PARAllel with mainstream football.
The aim of the pathway is to find talent that may be hidden in mainstream football, where a player's disability may not be so obvious. By engaging with the pathway, potential will be explored and talent will be nurtured, so that player's can make the dream of playing for England a reality.
