Senior staff from the Foundation went behind the scenes with the Red Arrows to gain an insight into their operations.

Attendees joined colleagues from Lincoln City to take part in a session with wing commander Adam Collins, officer commanding RAFAT who has overall responsibility for the squadron, as well as speaking with pilots and members of the ground team at RAF Waddington.

Foundation chief executive Martin Hickerton said: "This was a wonderful opportunity for us to see how this elite team work, and see if any of their methods can be applied in our areas.

"The Red Arrows are true Lincolnshire icons and we feel very privileged to have been able to pick the brains of the team. Our thanks to wing commander Adam Collins and the entire team for inviting us to join them."

City's director of football Jez George said: “We would like to thank the Red Arrows for providing us with this unique opportunity for our staff to learn more about their operation and processes.

“They are a world class, world renowned organisation, and so this was a brilliant insight for staff across the club to see how they create an elite environment to drive performance.

“There are great learnings to take, especially the way in which they brief and de-brief every practice and event, to constantly develop and improve. Thanks to sergeant Craig Grice for organising the visit."

Staff at City hope to find further ways to work with the Red Arrows to help enhance the club and Foundation's operations.
