Participants from Lincoln City Foundation’s Fighting Fit programme are organising a fundraising event on Tuesday 8 August to raise money for radar keys, 'just can’t wait' cards and to support the ongoing delivery of the cancer care programme.
Members of the group will be participating in fancy dress during their Fighting Fit circuit session in the hopes of raising funds. There will also be a raffle for a signed Lincoln City shirt.
Fighting Fit is an initiative aimed at people living with or recovering from cancer.
The scheme aims to help participants build their fitness, motivation, and physical ambitions, while also giving them a safe space to connect with people who have shared similar experiences.
Radar keys are a vitally important tool for people living with cancer as they give people access to thousands of public toilets while also giving information on nearby toilets.
'Just can’t wait' cards are also helpful as they give holders the peace of mind that they can use a toilet urgently if required.
