Or why not train to become a sessional coach with the Foundation? At the end of your programme of study, you will have gained an FA Level 2 coaching certificate, allowing you to become a coach.

Shane has been with Lincoln City Foundation for 4 years, delivering and coaching young athletes and students. Shane has undertaken the degree in order to gain the skills and understanding to become a Secondary School PE Teacher, sharing his experience with a wider variety of learners.

Why Join The Lincoln City Foundation Sport and Education Programme
You will be registered as a Lincoln City Student and as a University of South Wales student, this means you have access to two lots of tutors to help you with your coursework and assignments. Two sets of expertise and knowledge, for the price of one!

You must pass English Language and Mathematics at Level 2 (GCSE or equivalent)

Show an interest in the theory and practical sides of sport and leisure

Typical A Level offer- DD to include at least one A Level in Science, Mathematics, Physical Education or Psychology but to exclude General Studies.

Level 1 in football coaching or equivalent foundation level football coaching qualification from a football (NGB)- can be studied whilst applying for the course

Typical Btec offer- BTEC Diploma Merit Merit or BTEC Extended Diploma Merit Pass Pass in a relevant subject.
